The report “Personal and Household Services (PHS) Policies and Instruments: State of Play in the 21 EU Member States“ considers the state of the PHS sectors across 21 EU Member States.

It summarises why PHS should play an important role in the European Union agenda and presents examples of successful policies and instruments currently in use in various Member States. By analysing how the PHS sectors function in different institutional contexts, it suggests approaches for supporting their development at the national level – both in countries with advanced and less advanced PHS sectors.

The report can be used at the national and EU level to support the discourses on the state and perspectives of the PHS sectors as well as to facilitate the policy-making in this field.
